あまりの落胆ぶりに、鈴木あみのPVを見た。
Because of the deep despair, I watched the PV of Ami Suzuki.

鈴木あみは可愛い。
Ami Suzuki is very cute.

歌だっておにゃん子クラブに比べればはるかに上手い。
Even she sings far better than the Onyanko Club.

というかおにゃん子は下手すぎた。あまりに下手すぎた。
Or I mean, the Onyanko Club's songs were too bad. They were horrible.

そんな鈴木あみも今では落ちぶれてしまった。かつては浜崎あゆみにも対抗できようかという勢いがあったのに。
But Ami Suzuki in that condition, was fallen on hard times as it is now. Though at a time in the past, she had a upward momentum close on Ayumi Hamasaki.

可哀想だ。なんとか慰めてあげられないものだろうかと、本気出して考えてみた。
I felt sorry for her. I tried seriously to consider how to offer her comfort in one way or another.

僕の本気は無力だった。
Then I knew my seriousness was helpless.
