衆議院解散総選挙だそうで。
It is reported that the government pushed ahead with dissolution of the House of Representatives for a snap general election.

早くも民主の候補らしきおっさんが駅前で所信表明やってましたよ。
Already a candidate who seemed to be in the Democratic Party made a policy speech in front of the station.

また街中を宣伝車が走り回るうっとおしい日々が続くのですね…あーやだやだ。
I know, the blue days that some loudspeaker vans go around the city will go on... Oh no it's awesome.

個人的に小泉総理の信念を曲げない頑固な性格は自分にも似たとこあって共感してはいるんですけど、
